Hospitalized children with treatable illnesses whose parents cannot afford further treatment due to financial constraints
Children referred to Rainbow Children’s Hospital for further treatment, but whose parents cannot financially afford the treatment suggested
Objectives
Medical:
Provide financial assistance to sick children to meet the cost of medical treatment
Fund, facilitate and promote research in childhood disorders
Improve health of children by conducting health camps
Educational:
Improve awareness in the community regarding medical issues in children and the importance of seeking medical care early
Enable continuous learning programmes for healthcare professionals who provide childcare across all levels
Engage, educate and train basic health care providers and volunteers from the community
Support Activities:
Influence policy making at government and non-government levels to enable better access and provision of health care for all children
Co-ordinate between various organizations and providers working for the welfare of children so that optimal health care can be delivered to every child-in-need
Grant relief and medical assistance to children during natural calamities such as famine, earth quake, flood, fire, pestilence, etc. and to provide assistance to institutions, establishments or persons engaged in such relief work
Undertake any other activity incidental, but consistent with the above activities
